Who we are
Topline Corrells is a family run business. Our team includes specialists in plumbing, carpentry, farming, and construction management. The team work well together and this cooperation ensures that our customers get the best customer service experience that can be offered.
What we do
Whether it's a new oilcloth for your table to give your kitchen a lift, a more efficient washing machine to cut your energy bills, that one missing bolt to finish off a project, or everything you need for a full bathroom makeover, we're proud to say we have a vast and complete range of products in store to meet your every need.
As well as a fully stocked builders' merchants, our retail departments include: paint, stoves, doors, bathrooms, garden, housewares, tools and electrical appliances. We also offer useful services including delivery, key cutting, paint mixing, and free quotations.
Our history
Topline Corrells is actually owned and managed by another family name, the Osbornes. Billy Osborne purchased the premises in the early eighties and kept the locally known name, Corrells. Billy’s son Colm Osborne is now managing director and Billy's younger twin brothers are part-owners along with Billy.
We have been a family operated business for two generations with brothers, cousins, wives, husbands, sons and daughters working side by side. We began as a small grocery, drapery and hardware store, and have slowly evolved to being a standalone hardware and DIY store.
Our success as a business can be attributed to the consistent support of the local community and the hard work of our dedicated staff.
The local community
We are regular supporters of various fundraising initiatives organised by local groups in the surrounding areas of Carnew, Shillelagh and Coolboy. Annually we sponsor teams in the Coláiste Bhríde Golf Classic, Carnew Emmets GAA Golf Classic, and Coolboy Golf Classic. We enjoy a strong link to the local GAA, sponsoring various items from jerseys to gear bags to footballs. The Minor, Senior and Ladies teams from Carnew Emmets GAA have been sponsored by Topline Corrells in the past.
We also have a long standing commitment to supporting the arts in the local area. We gladly contribute to Kilrush Drama Group and Carnew Musical Society, who both produce fantastic shows and provide excellent entertainment for the community. The annual Carnew Agricultural Show and Shillelagh Hunt Club are two more societies we give monetary support to.
Carnew Traders is a local initiative run by local people to increase trade in the town. We feature regularly in their quarterly magazine, contribute to their Christmas lights fund, and we have also submitted floats in their annual St. Patrick’s Day parade.
The Topline group
In 2003 the decision was made within the business to become part of the Topline group, Ireland's largest DIY buying group. With over 150 stores nationwide, the Topline group is instantly recognisable and trustworthy. It allows Topline Corrells, a local, independently owned and family run store, to compete with international chains like Woodies and B&Q. Topline provides us with support and gives us access to increased buying power and product ranges at prices that represent value for our customers. They also guided us in our 2014 store revamp, and provide valuable staff training, merchandising and marketing advice. All of this will help Topline Corrells to provide a modern, reliable and value for money service to our customers in Carnew and its surrounding areas.
